Terms of Service
By using AMBA, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they explain your rights, your responsibilities, and how the platform works.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the AMBA app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
2. What AMBA is
AMBA is a real-time safety and emergency response platform that allows individuals to send SOS alerts, share trips, and connect with trusted contacts and security organizations. AMBA is a communication and coordination tool — it is not a substitute for official emergency services such as the police, fire service, or ambulance
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use AMBA. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian to use the platform.
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your login details with anyone. You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@ambaap.com. AMBA reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Permitted use
You agree to use AMBA only for its intended purpose — personal safety, emergency alerting, and connecting to security organizations. You must not use AMBA to:
- Send false or malicious SOS alerts
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the AMBA platform
6. SOS alerts and emergency response
AMBA connects you to your Safe Circle and your connected organization's security team. We do not guarantee a specific response time from any security team or organization. AMBA is a coordination tool — the speed and quality of response depends on the organization you are connected to.
In a life-threatening emergency, always contact official emergency services in your area in addition to triggering an AMBA SOS alert.
7. Location and audio data
By using AMBA's SOS and trip features, you consent to the collection and sharing of your real-time location and audio recordings with your Safe Circle and connected organization during active safety events. This data is used exclusively for emergency response purposes. See our Privacy Policy at ambaap.com for full details.
8. Organizations
Organizations that register on AMBA agree to use the platform responsibly and exclusively for legitimate security and safety management purposes. Organizations are responsible for the conduct of their responders on the platform. AMBA reserves the right to suspend or terminate any organization that misuses the platform or violates these terms.
9. Subscriptions and payments
Organization access to AMBA's security management tools requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods. To cancel your subscription, do so through the app before your next renewal date.
10. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and trademarks within the AMBA platform are the exclusive property of AMBA. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without prior written permission.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
AMBA is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times or free from errors. We are not liable for any failure to deliver alerts caused by network outages, device issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMBA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of AMBA shall not exceed the amount you paid to AMBA in the 12 months preceding the claim
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users through the app. Continued use of AMBA after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
